Claimant funding to support mandating
This section focuses on the funding available to ngā hapū o Ngāpuhi during the mandate process.
Te Tari Whakatau provides funding to support ngā hapū o Ngāpuhi through the mandate and Treaty settlement negotiations process.
The amount of funding is dependent on the different stages of the process. Funding to obtain a mandate is included in the pre-negotiations stage.
This includes for:
- initial hapū grouping hui
- formal hapū grouping development
- confirmed hapū grouping working towards mandate.
There is more information about funding to support mandating in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). You can use the funding application form to request funding for hapū grouping proposal development.
The funding activity report template will need to be completed for financial reporting to Te Tari Whakatau if your hapū grouping is confirmed and you receive funding.
